There is a lot that goes into running a psychology practice that nobody really warns you about. A full caseload, the admin, CPD, and somewhere in between all of that, actually looking after yourself. Most psychologists I have met are doing everything right clinically and falling behind on everything else.

I came to this work through my psychology degree and a background in events management, which meant systems and organisation were already second nature. Working in practice administration was a good fit. I fell in love with the problem-solving, the relationships, and the feeling of making something run properly. The consulting side came from the same place: you cannot help a practice without first understanding how it works.

IS VIRTUAL is small and deliberately so. I work with a small number of practices across Australia because that is the only way to do this properly. I understand the clinical context, how a practice should be built around the practitioner and their clients, and where administration either supports that or gets in the way.
